The FFCC (Federation Francaise Camping et Caravanning) guide lists every site in France - it's our bible and we buy a new one every other year (usually from a hypermarket!) I believe you can order one through the clubs or France magazine.
The sites are listed by Department / nearest town and the guide gives you details of all facilities on offer - note however that this is a listing and the sites are not graded other than by their star rating (which is very clearly explained in the guide!) Caravan Bed
That looks very nice, however I did reckon its going to be quite a long single axle to fit all of that in!! Another nice van from Bailey. Seems a lot of wasted space in a single axle caravan to have half of it bed and bog.
I have decided to put the caravan away now for the winter as this weather is way to cold to enjoy it. I can't do cold now although we are off to Edinburgh at New Year but there's a nice pub to shelter and keep warm in before diving in the caravan bed.

Caravan Single Bed
With it's blown air heating even in the caravan single bed room and smaller living area it's much warmer in the caravan than at home, plus you've got the HUGE back garden with fantastic views on most of our sites, lots of good company and quiet away from racing car drivers, I know which I prefer.
I'm 70 next year, but we still use the 'van all year. As for the cold the 'van is soon up to 28c so that is as good as home, and just wrap up when you go out, as you do at home!

Caravan Double Bed
Our 3 boys sleep in the caravan double bed we sleep in the awning as we only have a 4 berth. This means that as considerate parents we wouldn't make them sleep out in the cold.
I used to be a 2 season caravanner, by now I do them all! Like the others have said, the caravan runs as warm as the thermostat, and as for outside, if you go out, you wear the same clothes as usual.
I have a bad back and arthritis, even my consultant at the hospital said...carry on with the caravan, you are no colder in it than in a house! Give it a try, you may be pleasantly surprised.

Caravan Toilet
I had my first experience of caravanning in the cold this last half term holiday when the temperatures went down very low for Sussex!
I was very surprised how warm and cosy we were in our new van even in the caravan toilet, not sure we would have been in our old one though but with electric warm air heating on a thermostat and low site fees at this time of year I think it was cheaper to be in the van than at home!

Thetford Cassette Toilet
I know many continue to caravan throughout the year but I think as you get older the warmth of the living room takes preference to hooking up a caravan and setting up in the cold. The thought of changing a Thetford cassette toilet in the freezing temperatures is enough to put me off.
Hoping the new van will keep us warm. Going away all winter, new tyres bought for the car Snow mud the lot. I have bought a Halogen heater in case the Caravan can't do it quick enough. Changing to Orange gas (I will never get the names right)
