You will find the site owners at Camping Haliotis are very friendly and helpful like Mick says. I would like to make this trip to France a memorable experience for everyone going and also the children. I visited the site myself and was more than happy with the site and the owners.
The campsite is within a days drive from Calais at 290 miles but can be shorter depending on your crossing. The site is just 32 miles from Saint Malo. You can also take your laptop for the Free Wifi available on site. Hi could you point me in the right direction of a good caravan scrap yard?

We are hoping to go to the meet in France Val has to get the time off work but we can't get anyone to commit at work yet.
The site looks great and I have heard from others that they go back there time and time again. The price is fantastic with all the facilities on site. They sometimes have scrap caravans for sale with good quality parts.
We had really been looking forward to seeing the GT60 as we are/were seriously considering it to replace our current van so we went to have a look over the weekend as we really liked what we have read about them so far.

Unfortunate after seeing one as well I would agree with you, they have gone the way the Pageant series 7 has gone too. They don't feel as well built as you would expect.
We are still happy with our Solid Pageant S6 and I think at the moment there's only the Senator S6 that Bailey are selling that has good build quality. I think some of these modern caravans will have an early visit to caravan scrap dealers just my opinion of course.

Static Caravan Breakers Yard
After seeing it "in the flesh" we now think we would be better spending a little bit more money on a different 'van but get a much better quality.
Please don't think I am being too personal asking ages. New to this caravanning culture we bought our first van at the end of August having borrowed my parents through the summer and we live in a static caravan so know a little about how a static caravan breakers yard works so should not be much different.

Not really being offended as it is each to there own, and I have really enjoyed our few short trips so far I just said no not everyone who has a caravan is a pensioner!

Scrap Caravan Removal
We were disappointed with what we found. We thought the build quality/workmanship was not of a particularly high standard and certainly not as good as our 5 year old Lunar Solar.
I was proudly showing how nice and spacious it was to my sister, whom with a sly grin on her face laughed and said do I not feel old before my time as only people my parents age go caravanning.
I started caravanning in my 20's and have been doing it now over 40 years. We are both just tuned 61 we started with a caravan in 1972 and still have it, that reminds me I need scrap caravan removal to take it away.
