The next holiday I planned a week at one site and a week at another. I don't get alot of holidays so I make the most of them when I do have them.
We tend to pick a site and stay there for a couple of weeks. Just make sure there is plenty to do or places to visit for the kids. The only exception is if we want to visit a specific place for a couple of days. For example, we had 10 days in Cornwall then 3 nights near Longleat. (Where we had the sprite caravan front window broken) Does this constitute touring.

Alpine Sprite Caravan Parts
Don't really fancy the idea of packing up every few days and moving on. Probably will do the touring bit when the kids are grown up. Then we will need alpine sprite caravan parts.
When we are abroad we tour spending anywhere between one and 7seven nights at campsites although the average is 4/5 nights. If we were going to the Med coast we might stay longer than 7 nights. It does really depend what you want from a holiday.

Bur now no we don't we usually stay on a site for at least a week sometimes longer before moving on It seems too much hassle now to repack the Van and unpack re Awning down then up again.
Just too tiring and we always need the next day just to unwind and settle down. Must be an age thing I guess. My hubby doesn't want too much towing now either so shorter trips between stops too. We used to go down to Cornwall with our first little Van took us about 8 hours crikey. Now we would need a week to get there. We always have basic sprite caravan spares with us just in case.

Well we used to go away and float from site to site..staying about 3-4 days at each..especially when we toured up Scotland for a 3 week break I don't ever remember it being hectic I always loved it moving on etc.
We tend to tour all the time especially now having a camper. a night here and there. Even when we had caravans we would tour as well changing sites all the time - even on main holidays. There is simply too many places to go and enjoy! Cant Stop touring! Agree about taking precautions we have a sprite musketeer parts kit in the caravan.

When the kids were little we used to stop one, two, a week, etc and tour for up to five weeks in the summer (glorious days!), but now we tend to stay put for at least 4 days.

Looking for caravan shops near me in UK, it's quite different and not flexible at all. We book an itinerary and have to live with it, as ALL the UK camp sites insist on taking ALL the money, well in advance.
Hi. This is what I find a bit of a pain..Having to book all the Sites..pay deposits..sometimes even pay in full etc. and having no flexibility at all. Years ag we just used to go..find a nice C.L. or something..and settle in. Nowadays even the C.L.s you have to book well in advance..well the decent ones anyway.!!!!
